It’s not like you’re in close contact with someone who actually has it.  It would be really unfortunate, but you have to figure that each one of those guys was confident they weren’t infected.  And our numbers are good … so far.

  • Chatter (over several hours)

Not everyone can’t believe.  Some will never give up their faith, especially if it gives them comfort, and they’re not hurting anyone then I don’t care what you believe.  I would never try to convert you as long as you don’t try to convert me.  I will defend my secularism most vigorously if you ply me with religious dogma in an attempt to change me when I’m happy with the way I am.

How is it people don’t realize how much fun introverts are.  I would like to spend time with my family and friend for a little while, but prefer to not hang around and chat.  Unless we’re doing something fun, my time limit on socializing shortens with every new topic of discussion.

I was pretty troubled, growing up, until I gave up trying to believe.  It was never going to happen.  And there was nothing wrong with me.

  • The explosion in Beirut.  It’s overwhelming.  This pandemic makes the horrors of the world cut even deeper into your emotions.  I feel like I need to pull back from the news of the tragedy for my own survival.  I don’t want to envision the loss.

Be the hero, not the villain.  It feels so much better and actually serves a better purpose.

  • i would like to be able to do what I want and play with projects that amuse me, and do in a self-imposed isolation.

And who’s in charge around here?  Me.  The matriarch –  but it’s mainly because I have the time.  I’m at the command post, and I’m here (as is my sister) if anyone needs anything.

We should have listened to the hippies.  I embraced the hippy philosophy while in my young teens, and missed it when it somehow morphed into disco.

Our purpose here is not just to procreate.  For our species to continue, we need the nurturers.  It really does take a village to raise a child and our DNA is not a  guarantee of survival or growth. Nature vs nurture is not what it’s about.  That’s not the battle  They’re really a team, working together – as nature and nurture – and our survival depends on it.
